Medical Disclaimer
Last updated: 22 February 2026
ClinicalAssist is a clinical decision support tool only. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional clinical judgement.
Not a Medical Device
ClinicalAssist has not been certified, registered, or approved as a medical device under UK MDR 2002 (as amended), the EU Medical Devices Regulation (EU 2017/745), or any equivalent regulatory framework. It is intended as an educational and decision support tool to assist qualified healthcare professionals in their clinical reasoning. It must not be used as the sole basis for any clinical decision.
Clinical Responsibility
All clinical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the treating healthcare professional. Recommendations generated by ClinicalAssist - including differential diagnoses, investigation suggestions, prescribing information, and care pathway recommendations - must be independently verified against current clinical guidelines, local protocols, and the individual patient's circumstances before being acted upon.
The prescribing clinician retains full responsibility for all prescribing decisions. Medication doses, interactions, contraindications, and formulary recommendations provided by ClinicalAssist are generated by AI models and may contain errors. Always verify against the current official medicines source or formulary for your country, plus local antimicrobial or prescribing guidelines.
AI-Generated Content
ClinicalAssist uses artificial intelligence models to generate clinical analysis. AI models can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information. The AI does not have access to your patient's full medical record, and its recommendations are based solely on the information you provide during the assessment. AI-generated content should always be treated as a starting point for clinical reasoning, not as a definitive answer.
Clinical Calculators
The clinical calculators provided (NEWS2, qSOFA, CURB-65, Wells Score, 4AT, 6CIT, Rockwood Clinical Frailty Scale, Barthel Index, and others) are implementations of published clinical scoring tools. While we endeavour to ensure accuracy, calculation errors may occur. Always verify scores manually in safety-critical situations. Calculator results should be interpreted within the full clinical context and in accordance with your local trust or organisation's escalation policies.
No Patient Data Storage
ClinicalAssist does not store patient-identifiable information on its servers. Assessment data entered into the application is processed in real time and stored only on your local device. However, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with your organisation's information governance policies, data protection regulations (UK GDPR), and any relevant Caldicott principles when using this tool.
Country-Specific Content
ClinicalAssist tailors clinical guidelines, prescribing recommendations, and care pathways to the country selected during onboarding where possible. You must verify all recommendations against current local clinical guidelines, formularies, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Emergency Situations
ClinicalAssist is not designed for use as a primary tool in medical emergencies. In life-threatening situations, follow your established emergency protocols, call your local emergency number, and initiate appropriate resuscitation measures. Do not delay emergency treatment to consult this application.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClinicalAssist, its developers, and associated parties accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury, or adverse outcome arising from the use of this application or reliance on its output. Use of ClinicalAssist is entirely at your own professional risk.
